The AZ State Championships and the 2018/2019 AZBJJF Tournament Season

This upcoming Saturday and Sunday the AZBJJF will host the AZ State Championships, the last tournament of the 2018/2019 tournament season. The season started in August 2018 with the No Gi State Championships and the Novice Cup. Other tournaments that are part of the 2018/2019 season include the 2018 Southwest Classic, the 2018 AZ Master’s Cup, the 2019 AZ International Open, and the 2019 Kids’ Cup and Copa Bella tournaments. Maracaba BJJ currently leads both the adult academy and team rankings with 18,320 and 18,860 points, respectively. GD Jiu Jitsu Association is in 2nd place for the adults and will need to overcome a large deficit to overtake Maracaba BJJ as #1 for the 2018/2019 season. De Boa Jiu Jitsu Academy leads the kids’ academy rankings for the season while GD Jiu Jitsu Association leads the kids’ team rankings. The first tournaments of the 2019/2020 season are the 2019 No Gi Az State Championship and the 2019 AZ Novice Cup.
